#BooksWithPix

Illustrated adult titles have practically vanished from the scene, it’s certainly affected my freelance business, which was mostly book work. I'm doing a social media campaign to encourage publishers to do more illustrated titles and if you're a reader (or publishing pro) who enjoys pictures+words, feel free to join in. It’s not just about putting illustrators to work but encouraging the revival of an ancient art form with a lot to offer modern readers.
Feel free to post any cool book illos that you've read, edited or created, plus a hashtag such as: #PicturePerfectBooks … #BooksWithPix … #PictureThis … #GetThePicture … #HireAnIllustrator.
Hopefully we can create a tasteful tsunami of popular opinion sufficient to catch editors' attention. Readers are more open-minded than some of them think and illustrated adult titles have been around since ancient Egypt; it's a tradition worth reviving, especially in the hypercompetitive world of contemporary publishing.
Any comments and suggestions you have are very welcome, DM if you like. And special thanks to @AndrewSellon, who very graciously took the time to formulate much of this plan.

The world is full of stories that need pictures, tell publishers to start hiring illustrators for grown-up books again! #BooksWithPix #HireAnIllustrator
